Summary: We are looking for a Sr. Copywriter with experience creating campaigns and creative content rooted in strong consumer insights. The ideal candidate should be a chameleon on paper and the backbone for all copy and written word for Great Wolf Lodge. Were looking for a storyteller with the ability to deliver our brand voice and personality across a wide variety of projects, applications and media types. With a collaborative spirit you will work with art directors, designers and agency partners to help set the creative tone and the drive to deliver breakthrough creative that shows how we bring joy to families and makes Great Wolf famous.

Responsibilities:

Primary function is to concept and push the Great Wolf brand and communications to a new frontiers through copy
Creates compelling campaign concepts through ideas and copy that are on-brief and are rooted in strong consumer insights
Seasoned writer who can easily maintain brand voice, across a variety of media and differing audience types with relevant and compelling copy
Partners to develop ideas with fellow project leads from design, corporate communication, marketing, creative and web with oversight and support from the creative lead
Positive team player who knows how to incorporate feedback and quickly come up with copy and design solutions
Strategically presents their ideas in a way that ties back to the larger goals of the campaign and your internal partners
Gives well thought-out and practiced presentations meant to persuade and that hit on key client insights and highlight the brand values
Responsible for ensuring all copywriting deliverables are of the highest creative quality and technically accurate

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years relevant creative copywriting experience
Proficient in the Mac platform. Also, general knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
Ability to quickly master a Digital Asset Management system, including uploading and assigning meta data to assets
Up-to-date knowledge of widely used Internet-based services such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram
Demonstrates a record of protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Prior experience working on creative for family and youth brands in the entertainment and/or hospitality space or similar
Portfolio of relevant client creative work
Excellent writing skills in a broad range of styles and applications
Strong attention to detail
Ability to brainstorm solo or in groups and develop big ideas from beginning to end
Experience writing video and radio scripts
Experience creating compelling copy for websites, email, mobile applications, and paid digital media
Experience creating compelling copy for print, OOH and broadcast commercials
Experience in social and digital campaigns/engagement tactics; Intimate familiarity with how brands engage in todays connected universe
Experience in naming and brand creation work for products, services and outlets
Proven ability to excel in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
Proven ability to quickly identify problems and solve them
Highly attentive to detail with an ability to proof and self-edit your work
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to judge creative concepts and copy, and clearly communicate creative direction to others.
Communicate and manage up well to leadership and creative manager
Effective day to day collaboration with all members of GWR's in-house Brand team.
Collaboration with the Project Manager to prioritize projects and work load for all team members, to meet critical deadlines.
This position requires direct dialogue with external stakeholders, marketing operations and with the individual lodges in order to deliver the best possible end product.
Must be able to travel occasionally
Have a good sense of humor
