2 positions open with a Major Consumer Products Company in Northern NJ:

Senior Copywriter (2)
Responsibilities include managing the writing of all advertising pieces in one of our major division?s. Must possess excellent communication skills, planning and management skills and must be an expert wordsmith. Must continue to build the brand and bring the copy to the next level.

Skills Required:
- Superior conceptual and creative writing skills in a variety of disciplines including print, radio, corporate and public relations.
- Excellent research skills.
- Strong understanding of legal guidelines, copy write requirements and use of disclaimers
- Very strong supervisory and administrative skills
- Ability to provide strategic advertising copy direction
- Ability to effectively collaborate with artists, other copywriters, creative director, marketing and visual team
- Expertise in Quark X-press, Microsoft Word and Illustrator
- Extremely detailed-oriented
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Expertise in broadcast writing and production
- 10+ years advertising/copy experience
- College graduate with a BA in Communication or English necessary

Management:
- 3+ years management experience
- Strong ability to train and motivate others
- Ability to manage multiple projects, keep department's workload on schedule and
on target
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to give and receive direction, as well as communicate effectively with subordinates, peers and management.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Copy and the Formulation of Conceptual ideas in Advertising: Conduct brainstorming sessions and presents results to the creative Director. Work as a team with others in Advertising to establish design concepts and formats
- Set Copy Standards for the Entire Copy Department: Participate and lead in all group projects and group initiatives
- People Management: Give direction and guidance to staff. Ensure that their work meets objectives. Motivate and encourage staff. Give feedback and train staff as needed. Communicate constructive advise in a positive manner. Deal with all personnel issues promptly and effectively. Support corporate management. Understand and support company policies.
- Quality Control: Make sure all work is accurate. Review all printed or recorded work. Give feedback to staff and outside vendors, if necessary. Also prioritize workload a
