PHARMACEUTICAL ADVERTISING SERVICE PROVIDER IN NORTHERN NJ IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A:

COPY SUPERVISOR
Department: Creative
Position Summary: Supervise 1 to 2 copywriters, review and develop concepts and manuscripts for promotional projects/campaigns

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
? Develop sufficiently thorough scientific knowledge
? Participate in development of marketing plans and conceptual process for promotional campaigns
? Attend job opening meetings as required
? Review and ?polish? concepts and manuscript copy developed by direct reports
? Guide the development of direct reports with regard to writing skills, interpersonal skills, and workload management
? Interact with art directors and medical directors as required
? Supervise routing of copy through internal channels, making sure that all necessary signatures (e.g., account supervisor, medical director, associate creative director) have been obtained
? Ensure highlighted references are provided and routed with each project
? Ensure that all client submission requirements for manuscript and lasers are met
? Ensure that all assigned projects are scheduled adequately and fairly, so as to be completed at a high level of quality
? Monitor workloads, help direct reports manage their time, work with ACD, Copy, to arrange and manage freelance support as needed
? Participate in hiring process
? Conduct performance reviews of direct reports

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifying for this position normally requires the following:
? Four-year degree
? Minimum three years of copy writing experience in either advertising agencies or pharmaceutical companies
? Proven conceptual talent
? Experience in writing for various media
? Computer literate in Word, WordPerfect, Windows or similar package
